“Well, what do you know?…”
When pondering the question of “What do you know”, some would not know how to answer such a question, they’d most likely see themselves as above or simply average in intelligence but would have no real answer for the question posed, because truly they may not “know” anything. Sure they may “know” how to do this or that, or how to fix this or that, or how to make money, or how to do their job, or how to work this or that, or how to speak this language or that language or how to behave, or even know many facts and pieces of information, they may know tons about history, about electronics, science, theology, medicine, philosophy etc. However, if not truly applied to their true inner being, it holds little or no weight outside of the system of the world. It is just surface dressing, useful in the world system but useless in the plain reality. I feel to know something is to understand the deep profundity of a part of being as in, to understand your place and purpose therein this matrix but more importantly it means to have individuated and come to an understanding of your deep personal self even outside the matrix of the world. When posed the question, “Well, what do you know?”, I would say, I know that the measure of a human is not what they can tell you but what they can embody. To know the truth is to know it and have it become them, not just a factoid or piece of information but it becomes them. For instance, I know God lives, so I am not a person who simply knows the truth, I have become a person who operates within that truth… not as a belief but as a profound knowing. I also know that before you can know anything of this deep fundamental level you must first be humble and be as dirt, be below the foot of another as to say, I am dust, I am not profound, I am simply here to be tread upon, to not presume to be of any use until I can finally glean something… then from dust, then I become clay, clay that is molded into something resembling an individual.
From my summation, people who know the truth do not know many things, they simply know a few deep-rooted realities that are untainted by the worldly ways and the diaspora of jumbled together ideas. Personally, I have gotten to my state by first establishing a foundation in a vetted, logical, philosophical school of thought. This philosophical foundation guided my emotional intelligence. My chosen or rather accepted foundation of logical philosophical reasoning was Stoicism, I delved into its ideas and figured out how to build upon myself by taming my emotions in a practical and informed way. Then from there I obsessively learned about the mind, I read the works of Carl Gustav Jung as much as I needed to learn from him and used personal experiences and discernment paired with his knowledge to understand the operation of the human psyche to the point of being able to understand people at a base level and connect with them no matter how different they are from me. Then, of course after that was my final path, the path that lasts until Kingdom Come and His will is done, which is learning from the Holy Bible.
So again, my path to becoming a person who knows something was, choosing a foundational philosophy to harden myself to the spurious and frivolous ways of the world (at least so far as it does not seep in to my mode of true being. I understand you can still participate in the light-heartedness of human joy and interactivity but there within oneself lies a strict disciplined mind that understands what is real and what is fake). So… stoicism helped me see that real pain, was often caused by false ideas and phantom ailments of a critical mind, once I accepted this I delved into why we let such fake things hurt us. I learned about the human subconscious and how it records everything and how just within that unconscious process within the mind are the things about ourselves that we dislike and choose to reject. These rejected traits and behaviors live in our personal “shadow”, however what we push into that shadow seeps into our waking behavior and shapes our lives whether we realize it or not. To gain back control of oneself, to capture your autonomy you must face the shadow in a process called individuation. Then my final step was to feed myself spiritually and mentally from the Word of God. The Bible taught the profound knowledge of becoming a “whole, upright person” before Jung even taught. See the Bible stresses to leave behind the old ways of thinking and be born again (See: John 3:3). Be born new as like a child, to be born again in the Blood of Christ (See: 2 Corinthians 5:17), and to deaden therefore the body members and urges of the flesh,(See: Colossians 3:5) this is directly compatible with Jungs individuation in that we must face the shadow to deaden our old ways. After this final stage of this philosophical path you can move on to knowing something and to do this truly is in the act of humbling yourself in the ultimate way. To be humble and understand your limits and understand and accept your flaws is good but some who have made it that far fall short still because they may be humble to themselves and others but they are not humble to the source of being, the same source we all share, that divine image therein that we operate from. (See: Genesis 1:26) This final humbling is the ultimate humility, it is humbling yourself to God himself, to understand finally that no matter how physically perfect you can try to be and no matter how intelligent and wise you become there are certain ailments of the flesh and mind you as a person cannot contend with and must FLEE from and let the Father, OUR Father the one who designed us, deal with. You must let him fight it for you as you flee and call on him(See: Psalm 55:22), in this you are not running away, you are doing what is fundamentally COMANDED of you by the very essence of being and you are now operating in the truth and that is knowing something. What you “know” is that he sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and since you KNOW he is there you can give these problems that gnaw at you without ceasing, to him, you can give him these final ailments and then, and ONLY then are you truly a FREE human being who knows anything at all.
Through Christ Jesus, by the Blood of his sacrifice we are allowed to give these ailments to the Father (See: Mark 11:24) and flee as Christ our Lord battles them by way of the power and authority given him by Jehovah the God of all. This world ruled by our enemy does a good job letting people hear the truth about God and Christ but then works insidiously through misinformation ,inundation of pleasures and worldly desire, myriad distractions, pressures of finances, fleshly snares to draw you away from the truth early on so that later when you finally see the emptiness of the world and realize it’s all a ruse and putrid game of empty pursuits, you will look for the truth elsewhere but scoff and put aside the fundamental truth of Jehovah and Christ. You will put aside this truth because you feel like or rather were duped into believing, “I have heard that explanation before and it falls short”. Furthermore, via Mystery: Babylon the great, the enemy confounds you into accepting lies mixed with truth so then you feel you have some sort of religion and can operate in the world freely now or you shirk your spiritual need, and you simply feel bitter or lost and become nihilistic and have no hope. The enemy introduces forms of Christs teachings that are traps of lies so you can never come to the truth, it is written in the Bible that this occurs, in The Second to Timothy 3:7.
In conclusion: To reiterate, once you’ve hardened your logical processes with a foundational ancient untainted philosophy, something that is the product of pure human logic of mind and pondering, not some amalgamated modern mix of ideals, you then use that to escape the imaginary strife and escape the worlds pull to conform to fit in and be liked then you move on to understanding the mind and how you operate so you can confront yourself and individuate yourself, THEN you come to the truth of the Holy Bible and learn and live from every word that comes from Jehovah Gods mouth so to speak. As Christ Jesus said, “man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from Jehovah your Gods mouth” (See: Matthew 4:4), this means we sustain our being by learning his word and following his commands. Doing this as a logically grounded, individuated person brings you to a state that is similar to enlightened but more practical because you are able to share it with others as Christ commanded. That being said the glory of God is in this, some, the most humble, the meek , will have life on the day of judgment WITHOUT having to do ANY of this but instead by simply genuinely believing in their heart that Christ is our savior and Jehovah God is the one and ONLY true God and is to be worshipped and obeyed, which is a testament to the brilliance and almighty power of God.
Postscript: These are my ponderings, my philosophy come to words, I am made in the image of the one who created through the word and made even the word come flesh, and as such I here outlined my general philosophy, my raw unfiltered process of becoming a person who knows something at all. I am just some goofy guy with ideas in my head, but I have refined them to the point of expression, often raw expression such as this is harder for me than writing them out symbolically or poetically in some sort of narrative or poem. I am not saying I know anything, but that if posed the question , “what do you know”, I have an answer and a well thought out one at that. I do not seek to know many things, I simply want to be joyful and have a life of freedom and humility. I feel personally I have found this within myself and here I presented the raw, unfiltered processes and ideas that got me to where I am. I hope to serve my God and be happy serving others in a way that is helpful and brings them encouragement. I strive to have good friendships and know real love for my fellow man and woman. This yearning stems from the yearning to follow Christs two greatest commands which are taught in these verses…. “ 35 And one of them, versed in the Law, tested him by asking: Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37 He said to him: “‘You must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind.’ 38 This is the greatest and first commandment. 39 The second, like it, is this: ‘You must love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments the whole Law hangs, and the Prophets.”- Mathew 22:36-40
